Co-curable compositions comprise (A) 100 parts by weight of a rubbery copolymer of ethylene and propylene, and optionally a non- conjugated diene, (B) 0À5 to 60 parts by weight of a crystalline propylene polymer and (C) 0À1 to 30 parts by weight per 100 parts of (A) and (B) of an organic peroxide or hydroperoxide cross-linking agent and (D) 0À1 to 30 parts by weight per 100 parts of (A) and (B) of a maleimide or bismaleimide compound. Specified non-conjugated dienes are 1,4-hexadiene, dicyclopentadiene, 5-methylene-2-norbornene, 5- ethylidene-2-norbornene and 4,7,8,9-tetrahydroindene. (B) may be a copolymer of propylene with a minor proportion of ethylene, butene-1, vinyl acetate or styrene. Many suitable peroxides and maleimide compounds are specified and examples describe compositions comprising polypropylene, carbon black, zinc oxide, stearic acid, N,N1-metaphenylene bis maleimide and (1) ethylene/propylene/diene terpolymer and 1,3-di-t-butylperoxy diisopropylbenzene and (4) ethylene/propylene copolymer and 1,3-di-tbutylperoxy diisopropylbenzene.
