Zusammenfassung:For making extremely thin wires and foils for use in compact electronic machines such as integrated circuits, transistor circuits, condensers and insulated lead wires, comprises 0.05-20% of one or more rare earth metals, the balance being Al apart from impurities, with an Fe content of 0.1% and a content of elements which are solid-soluble in Al (e.g. Si, Zn, Ti, Mn, Mg and Cu) of =0.3% in total. An exemplary alloy comprises 0.5% Ce, 0.008% Fe and 0.007% Si + Zn + Ti + Mn + Mg + Cu, the balance beig Al.
