Zusammenfassung:1,228,060. Detergent compositions containing particle deposition enhancing agents. PROCTOR & GAMBLE CO. 10 Dec., 1968 [11 Dec., 1967], No. 58653/68. Addition to 1,111,708. Heading C5D. A detergent composition comprises (A) an organic surfactant; (B) a water-soluble cationic polymer which is a polyethyleneimine having a molecular weight of 2000 to 3,000,000 or a reaction product of polyethyleneimine with ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide the reaction product having a molecular 30,000 to 1,000,000 and a weight ratio of polyethyleneimine to alkylene oxide of at least 1 : 1; (C) a water-insoluble or sparingly soluble particulate substance, other than a heavy metal salt of 2-pyridinethiol-1-oxide, which is capable of imparting a desired residual property to a surface to which it becomes affixed when the surface is washed with the detergent composition. The polyethyleneimine has the Formula (I) wherein X is a whole number. Component (C) may be an antidandruff agent, a sunscreen agent, a fabric brightener and whitener, a skin feel enhancer, an anti-microbial agent with or without a heavy metal salt of 2-pyridine thiol-1- oxide. The anti-microbial agent may be one or more of the following: (a) a substituted salicylanilide of formula in which X is H or halogen and Y is H, halogen or trifluoromethyl; (b) a substituted carbanilide of formula in which Y is H, halogen or trifluoromethyl, X 1 is halogen or ethoxy, and X 2 is H or halogen; (c) a substituted bisphenol of formula in which X is halogen and n is an integer from 1 to 3 and R is an alkylene radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or is divalent sulphur; (d) N - trichloromethylmercapto - 4 - cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboximide; (e) N - (1,1,2,2 - tetrachloroethylsulphenyl)- cis - # - 4 - cyclohexene - 1,2 - dicarboximide. Component (a) may be an anionic, ampholytic, polar non-ionic, non-ionic, zwitterionic or cationicsurfactant suitable for shampoos, laundering, hard surface and dishwashing detergents and personal use toilet bars. Conventional additives may be present such as organic solvents, e.g. ethanol; thickeners, e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose; perfumes; sequestering agents, e.g. tetrasodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate; opacifiers, e.g. zinc stearate or magnesium stearate; free fatty acids; tarnish inhibitors, e.g. benzotriazole or ethylenethiourea; corrosion inhibitors such as alkali metal silicates; hydrotropes, e.g. alkali metal salts of toluene sulphonic acid; suds boosters such as coconut acyl mono- or di-e
