Zusammenfassung:	Compositions consisting of (a) the reaction product of 1 mole aromatic tetracarboxylic acid and 2 moles of a tertiary amine of basic strength (Kb in water) of 1 x 10-3 to 1 x 10-10 and b.p. below 200 deg.C.; (b) an aromatic diamine of formula:- H2N-Z-NH2 (where Z is a 6-18C aromatic hydrocarbon group and the diamine contains at least 1 C atom between the two amino groups) used in amounts of 1 mole/mole reaction product (a); and (c) 20-60 weight % water (calc. per total weigh reaction mixture). Resins, impregnating varnishes, binding agents for laminate systems, and adhesives for any type of material (glass, metals, plastics, glass-fibre fabrics). Water is used as solvent.
