Acetone vaporises and is condensed and recovered after removing fine acetylcellulose powder from gas in cyclone. Original solution gen. has 0.5-200 g/l acetylcellulose content. Advantages are that acetone can be recovered almost quantitatively and in high purity without high capital expenditure on equipment.
