[Also in Division G4] The binary coded data signals from two or more input channels are fed via multiplexing means to control the writing electrodes of an electrographic recorder. In the embodiment described analogue signals Ii are digitized by pulsing binary coded decimal counters 31, controlling current generators 32 until the feedback signals I r are equal to the input signals Ii. The outputs of the counters are fed via gates 11 controlled by a multiplex sequencer 13 to a decoder matrix 14 to select one of a hundred electrodes arranged across either an electrosensitive recording web or conductive paper having a charge retentive surface. Binary data to be recorded is fed via input 4 and gate 12 to the decoder matrix 14. This data may be obtained by feeding the output data from one of the analogue/ digital converters to a computer 42 for processing and simultaneously recording this processed data.
