Novel compounds I wherein R 1 and R 2 signify H, halogen, C 1-6 alkyl or alkoxy, R 3 is H or C 1-6 alkyl and R 4 is benzimidazolyl optionally substituted by one or more halogen, alkyl, CF 3 , alkoxy, NO 2 , SO 2 NH 2 and CN, are obtained by reacting R 3 R 4 CHX (X is Cl, Br or I) with an appropriate water soluble salt of a p-phenylene-bis-dithiocarbamic acid. Pharmaceutical preparations suitable for the treatment of anthelminthiasis contain I as active ingredient; administration is, e.g. orally.
