Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A process for the production of nitrogenous crystalline zeolites N-X, N-Y and N-B (as hereinafter defined), comprises forming an aqueous mixture comprising at least one soluble alkyl substituted or partially substituted derivative of ammonium hydroxide, silicate ions and aluminate ions, and heating the resultant mixture at a temperature of from 25 DEG to 150 DEG C. for zeolites W-X and N-Y or from 200 DEG to 300 DEG C. for zeolite N-B until the desired zeolite crystals are formed, thereafter filtering off the zeolite crystals and washing them until the effluent wash water in equilibrium with the crystals has a pH of from 9 to 11. Zeolite N-X is defined as having the following formula 1.0\sB0.1 [(1 - x)R2O+XM2O]:Al2O3:2.5\sB0.5 SiO2 : 0-7 H2O, wherein R represents the tetramethyl-ammonium cation, M represents alkali metal cation, X represents the alkali metal cation fraction within the crystal and has a value less than 1. Zeolite N-Y is defined as having the following formula 1.0 = 0.1 [11-x) R2O+XM2O]: Al2O3 : ZSiO2 : 0.7 H2O, wherein R, M and are as defined above and Z has values greater than 3 and up to 6. Zeolite N-B is defined as having the following formula 1.0\sB0.2 [(1 - x) R2O+xM2O] : Al2O3: 3.5 SiO2 : 0-7 H2O, wherein R represents tetramethylammonium or lower derivatives of tetramethylammonium. In the production of tetramethylammonium N-X, reactant mixtures may be employed having a composition expressed in terms of oxide mole ratios within the following range: R2O/Al2O3 = 1.5-4.2 SiO2/Al2O3 = 2-3 H2O/Al2O3 = 120-330 In the production of tetramethylammonium zeolite N-Y reactant mixtures may be employed having a composition, expressed in terms of oxide mole ratios within the following range: R2O/Al2O3 = 1.5-2.5 SiO2/Al2O3 = >3 to
