Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,140,340. Continuous envelopes. VARCO Inc. 25 Aug., 1966 [17 Jan., 1966], No. 12677/68. Divided out of 1,128,634. Heading B6A. A continuous assembly of envelopes and enclosures is made by overlapping marginally perforated plies forming front and back walls of the envelopes, providing one of the plies with adhesive lines 73, 73a, defining the closed envelopes and sandwiching between the plies an insert ply 71, whose one margin 72 is spaced inwardly into the envelope from the adhesive line 73 and other margin is in register with the marginally perforated plies so that the insert ply 71 is adhesively attached to the overlapped plies along the respective adhesive lines 73, 73a. To facilitate removal of the insert ply 71 from the envelope the overlapped plies and the insert ply are provided with a line of weakening 76, the insert ply being provided with additional transverse lines of weakness 74 disposed on either side of a transverse line of weakening (not shown) by means of which the continuous assembly may be separated into individual envelopes. In a further embodiment (Fig. 2) both margins 78, 79 of the insert ply 89 are spaced inwardly from the adhesive lines 80, 81 on the back wall ply 84 and the latter and the insert ply 89 are provided with registering holes 90 aligned with transverse lines of weakness along which the envelopes are separated.
