A mixture comprising a tetrafluoroethylene polymer, containing up to 3% by weight of a comonomer, and a filler, in the form of powder particles having an average grain size of 0.2 to 2 millimetres, the particles being a homogenous agglomerate made by coagulating a filler having an average particle size of up to 300 microns or an average fibre length of up to 1500 microns with the polymer having an average particle size of 0.1 to 0.7 microns, the filler particles being coated with an oligomeric or polymeric organic compound of an element other than carbon of group Na or group IVb of the Mendeleef Periodic Table. In the examples, aqueous dispersions of polytetrafluoroethylene and tetrafluoroethylene hexafluoropropylene copolymer are coagulated with glass fibres, graphite, bronze powder, molybdenum disulphide, aluminium powder and lead powder coated with phenylmethyl - polysiloxane, dimethyl - polysiloxone, polysiloxane derived from y-aminopropyltriethoxysilane and high molecular weight titanic acid esters derived from butyl titanate.
