Zusammenfassung:1,213,204. Bearings. PORTESCAP. 7 Feb., 1968 [16 Feb., 1967], No. 6003/68. Heading F2A. A bearing for a timepiece pivot 4, Fig. 1, has a hole-jewel 3 and has a cap-jewel 5 which has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the holejewel and is held by a support 7 at a pre-determined minimum distance from the hole-jewel. The hole-jewel 3 is fitted into a mount 2 which, having a conical portion 21, is received in a bearing-body 1. The support 7 is provided with protrusions 9 which engage a groove 8 of the body 1, and is provided with three claws 6, each of which has a portion 61 engaging the upper surface of the cap-jewel 5 and a vertical portion 611 engaging the curved surface of the cap-jewel 5 and extending downwards so as to engage the upper surface 31 of the hole-jewel 3. Lubricating-oil is introduced from above into the bearing and is guided into position by the vertical portions 611. In other embodiments a holejewel 13, Fig. 3 (not shown), is force-fitted into a body 11; and claws 26 are each divided into two arms 261 and 2611, Fig. 5 (not shown), one of which engages the upper surface of a cap-jewel 25 and the other of which engages the curved surface of the cap-jewel. In another embodiment a hole-jewel 33, Figs. 6 and 7, is forcefitted into an insetting 31 and a cap-jewel 35 is maintained at a desired distance from a surface 331 of the hole-jewel 33 by means of a support 37 being force-fitted in the in-setting 31, the support 37 being located axially by means of an inner shoulder 311 of the in-setting 31. The support 37 is provided with two diametricallyopposite claws 36 in which the cap-jewel 35 is crimped. Openings 40 formed in the support 37 allow the introduction of lubricating-oil into the bearing.
