Novel thiolphosphoric acid derivatives of the formula where R 1 to R 6 are hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or haloalkyl, R 7 is an optionally substituted aliphatic, aryl or aralkyl radical, X is oxygen or sulphur or an N-alkyl or N-aryl-amino group and n is 0 or 1, are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with a sulphenic acid bromide of formula R 7 -S-Br, or with the reaction product of an aliphatic or aromatic mercaptan or thiophenol and bromine. The reaction is generally carried out in the presence of a solvent at a temperature between - 20‹ and +50‹ C. The products are useful intermediates.
