[Also in Division C3] A flexible web or rigid or semi-rigid base material has on at least one surface a non- blocking barrier coating comprising an interpolymer of (a) at least 70% by weight of vinylidene chloride, (b) from 0.5 to 5 % by weight of a diacrylate ester of a glycol having the formula HO-(CH 2 -CH 2 -O) n -H wherein n is from 1 to 6 and said glycol has an average molecular weight below 270, and (c) any remainder being of at least 1 mono-ethylenically unsaturated comonomer. The flexible web may be of a regenerated cellulose, ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate, paper, polyethylene, polypropylene, a copolymer of ethylene and propylene, polystyrene or rubber hydrochloride. Component (c) may be vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile, an alkyl acrylate, an alkyl methacrylate or a vinyl alkyl ether. An undercoat may be applied such as of ureaformaldehyde or styrene/butadiene copolymer.
