Zusammenfassung: | 1,182,446. Electromagnetic contactors. TATEISI ELECTRONICS CO. 6 July, 1967 [7 July, 1966; 19 Dec., 1966], No. 31086/67. Heading H1N. A multipole electromagnetic contactor has an insulating case 1 divided by shoulders 2 into upper and lower compartments 3, 4, for the contacts and electromagnet respectively and movable contact carriers 19 in the upper compartment 3 are biased by individual springs 28 to engage an armature cap 33 which with the armature 32 is biased by a spring 40 so that when the coil 35 is energized the armature is attracted to a core 31 against the bias of the spring 40 and the springs 28 move the respective contact carriers 19. The compartment 3 is further divided by partitions 6 between which bars 8 extend and support removable upper fixed contacts 29 having projections which retain flanges (17) of guide members 15 against which the upper ends of the springs 28 act. The carriers 19 each have apertures (20) each accommodating two contact bridges 23, 24 biased apart by a spring 27. Lower fixed contacts 30 are mounted on the shoulders 2 and insulating divided covers 44 clip on to the fixed contacts between the partitions 6 to exclude dust. The lower end of the spring 40 acts on flanges 41 of the coil former 38 to urge it against the core 31. The upper set of contacts may be omitted (Fig. 4) and the springs 28 will then act on a common cover 56 having guide holes 57 for the carriers 19. The cover 56 may also retain magnetic arc shielding members (50) formed as a single U-shaped magnetic piece (Fig. 9, not shown) or as separate limbs 55 bridged by a permanent magnet 54. The limbs of the U-shaped members or the limbs 55 fit in recesses 51 in the partition 6 shown in Fig. 10. |
