Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,202,719. Laminated glass. LIBBEYOWENS-FORD CO. 16 Aug., 1967 [18 Aug., 1966], No. 37677/67. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions C2, C3 and C4] A laminate comprises a sheet of glass laminated by heat and pressure to a phototropic unit comprising a sheet of plastics material, e.g. polyvinyl butyral, combined with a metal dithizonate rendering the body phototropic and of formula where M is Bi, Cd, Co, Cu, Au, In, Fe, Pb, Mn, Hg, Ni, Pd, Pt, Po, Ag, Te, Tl, Sn or Zn; R is an aryl group and X is a radical containing carboxyl, ether, ester, amide, imide, nitrile, anhydride, amine, nitrate, aorylate, methacrylate, pyridyl, sulphonate, isocyanate, thiocyanate, cyamide, molybdate or tungstate groups. The dithizonate may be a derivative of a mercuric diphenylthiocarbazone, e.g. the para-anisole derivative. The plastics material may be plasticized with di-(isodecyl)-4,5-epoxy tetrahydrpphthalate or one of thirty-two listed esters. Laminates are shown in Figs. 2-7 in which 101 is the phototropic plastic, 11 to 14 are glass, 15 is a U.V. filter and 16 is a heat-rejecting film of an Sn-Sb composition.
