Zusammenfassung: | 1,149,286. Arylpyrazolyl-(1)-stilbene compounds. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 9 Aug., 1967 [10 Aug., 1966; 7 Jan., 1967], No. 36619/67. Heading C2C. [Also in Divisions C3, C5 and D1] Novel arylpyrazolyl-(1)-stilbene compounds of the formula in which R 1 and R 2 stand for hydrogen, a 1-4 carbon alkyl radical or an unsubstituted or substituted aryl radical, with at least one of the symbols R 1 or R 2 standing for an optionally substituted aryl radical, while X 1 and X 2 , independently of one another, stand for hydrogen, the sulphonic acid group or a salt thereof, a sulphonic acid ester group, an optionally substituted sulphonic acid amide group, an alkylsulphone or arylsulphone group, the carboxylic acid group or a salt thereof, a carboxylic acid ester group, an optionally substituted carboxylic acid amide group or cyano group, and Y stands for hydrogen, an acylated amino group, or an unsubstituted or substituted pyrazolyl, triazolyl-(1), benzotriazolyl or naphthotriazolyl group. These compounds are prepared by condensing hydrazino stilbene compounds with substituted vinyl ketones or arylmolonic dialdehydes, and where necessary introducing or modifying substituent groups by conventional methods. The novel compounds are suitable for brightening a number of materials, including cellular materials, synthetic fibres, filaments, foils, fluorescent articles and soaps. 4,41 - Bis - [3- and 4-phenylpyrazolyl - (1)]- stilbene - 2,21 - disulphochlorides are prepared by the action of POCl 3 on the corresponding acids. |
