An image recording sheet 10 and an image receiving sheet 12 having a mask sheet 16 secured thereto are brought together for image transfer by rollers 26, 28 in a photographic camera which rollers rupture a container 22 to spread processing liquid between the sheets as they are advanced. The mask sheet 16 has apertures 18 defining image receiving areas in the sheet 12. The roller 28 is provided with a collar (30) Figs.3, 4 (not shown) at each end, by means of which pressure on the image receiving area is reduced as it passes through the rollers (Fig.3), thus allowing of even distribution of the processing liquid. After an image receiving area has passed through the rollers, the collars (30) depress the sheet (10) into slots (40) in the mask sheet (16) (Fig.4), thereby forming a tight seal preventing escape of excess liquid when the sheet assembly is torn off from the sheets remaining in the camera. The sheets 10, 12 are backed with opaque material so that processing can safely take place outside the camera.
