[Also : in Division C2] Herbicides comprise " compounds of the formula:- where R' denotes a cycloalkyl radical, or a phenyl radical which may be substituted by methyl or halogen, - R2 denotes halogen, R3 denotes -COOR4, -COSR4, -CH 2 . CH 2 . COOR4, -CH=CH . COOR4 or -CH 2 . C(C1)=C(C1) . COOR4 where R4 denotes an alkyl radical which may be substituted by hydroxy, chlorine, methoxy or dialkylamino, an alkenyl radical which may be substituted by chlorine, a phenyl radical which may be substituted by hydroxy, chlorine or bromine, a cycloalkyl radical which may be substituted by ethinyl or an aralkyl radical optionally in association with a solid or liquid carrier. They may be used in solution in a mineral oil, as an emulsion preferably formed in water from concentrates, pastes or wettable powders optionally containing a dispersing agent, as a suspension, or dust. The use of the herbicides to control the growth of numerous specified plants is described particularly for methyl and benzyl 4-[(1-phenyl-5-bromopyridazone-6)-yl] oxamates.
