[Also in Divisions A5 and F2] A liquid converter system for supplying a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen at superatmospheric pressure to a hyperboric vessel (see Division A5) comprises a liquid nitrogen vessel 100 and a liquid oxygen vessel 102, each having a build-up valve 105, the gaseous phases of each of the vessels being separately connected by lines 104, 122 to both of a pair of mixing valves 116, 130 (see Division F2). Heat exchangers 126, 108 are located in the lines between the converters and the mixing valves for controlling the temperature of the gas mixture supplied to the vessel. A line 118 by-passing the heat exchangers connects the oxygen converter directly to the mixing valves through a bleed valve 120 so that the temperature of the gas in the vessel may be reduced. Each of the mixing valves is connected by lines 142, 146 to a separate compartment in the vessel. |
