Zusammenfassung:Aqueous solutions of tetracycline for oral and parenteral use having a pH 3.5 to 9, and containing excess of 20 mgm./ml. tetracycline are prepared by mixing tetracycline, a non-toxic heavy metal salt, e.g. aluminium sulphate and tartaric acid or similar non-toxic sequestering agents such as citric acid, ethylene diamine, tetra-acetic acid, gluconic acid and phylic acid. Alternatively, a heavy metal salt of tetracycline may be mixed with the non-toxic sequestering agent. By heavy metal is meant any metal other than the alkali metals.
