A wrap-around carton, e.g. for bottles, has two overlapping flaps 22, 23, forming the bottom of the carrier, one flap having tongues 26 extending from its free edge 28 and press-in tabs 39 extending in the opposite direction to the tongues. The other flap 23 has apertures 29 through which the tongues 26 are first inserted; the tabs 39 are then forced through the apertures 29 to form barbs preventing withdrawal of the tongues 26. The tabs 39 may be slit at 45.
