Zusammenfassung: | 1,031,644. Rotary-piston I.C. engines. KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ A.G. Aug. 30, 1963 [Aug. 31, 1962], No. 34410/63. Heading F1F. In a rotary-piston I.C. engine of the trochoidal n and n+1 lobe type, the planetary motion of the piston 1 Fig. 1, (not shown) is controlled by a plurality of planet gear-wheel sets mounted on both sides of an eccentric 2 carrying the piston, each set comprising two pinions 9, 10 which are coupled to one another by a torsionally-resilient shaft or bar-spring 16. The pinions mesh with a ring of internal gear-teeth 7 on the piston and a stationary internally-toothed gear-ring 8, respectively, the shaft 16 being provided with splines 161 which engage with splines 17 in hubs 14, 15 for the pinions. The axially-outermost hubs 15 engage with a ring 13 attached to the power-output shaft 3. The pinion 10 in each set is attached to the associated hub 15 by screws 20 and connected to the corresponding pinion 9 by claws 18, 19 formed on the mutually-opposing faces. The spring 16 in each set is torsionally stressed by a wedge 21 Fig. 4, (not shown) driven between each pair of adjacent claws sufficiently to minimize back-lash or lost-motion in the gear system. An additional connection between each pinion and the associated hub 15 is provided by a splined ring 23 Fig. 3, (not shown). |
