Zusammenfassung: | 1,066,861. Clips. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. Feb. 7, 1964 [Feb. 22, 1963], No. 7287/63. Heading E2B. A clip for fastening together two panels, the first panel having an aperture 4 and the second panel having an elongated slot 5, is formed of resilient material and comprises a stud-like member 6 for snapping engagement in the aperture in the first panel and an integral arm 1 extending radially away from the stud-like member, the clip being slidable into the assembled position in the slot 5 with the studlike member abutting at one end of the slot and a rib 12 on the arm extending into and abutting the opposite end of the slot to prevent movement of the clip in the plane of the second panel, flanges e.g. 11a and 11b (Fig. 6 not shown) being provided for engaging the opposite faces of the second panel and preventing movement of the clip perpendicular thereto. In one embodiment the slot 5 is of dumb-bell shape with a small apertured end 5c (Fig. 1 not shown) and a large apertured end 5a. The clip is assembled in panel 3 by placing the studlike portion through the aperture 5a and sliding it along in the direction of 5c. The stud portion has a neck 10 with a diameter approximately equal to that of the aperture 5a so that the stud will snap into position (Fig. 4) with the flanges at either end of the neck portion abutting the opposite faces of the panel 3. The tapered portion 7 is then inserted in the aperture 4 flanges 14 making sealing contact with panel 2. In another embodiment (Fig. 6 not shown) the panel 3 has a key-hole shaped slot and the arm 11 is formed in two parts 11a, 11b joined by a rib 11c The clip is assembled in panel 3 by sliding the arm member through the circular aperture and along the slot to the position shown in Fig. 6. In other respects this embodiment is analogous with that previously described. |
