Zusammenfassung: | Textile materials are dyed and/or printed by treating the materials, if necessary at elevated temperatures, in the presence of an alkaline-reacting agent with at least one dye which contains one or more reactive hydrogen atoms, preferably attached by way of N, O or S atoms, or which is capable of making such H atoms available during the process, and with at least one uncoloured polyfunctional compound having the general formula: in which at least two substituents A are an X-CH2-CH2-CO- group where X is the radical of a 2 DEG amine attached by way of nitrogen and the other A may be a H2C=CH-CO- or Z+ -O3S-CH2-CH2-CO- group where Z is a cation. The radicals X may be the same or different and may be radicals of dimethylamine, diethylamine, diethanolamine, piperidine, pyrrolidine, morpholine, pyrrole or imidazole and Z may be H, NH4, Na or K. The alkaline-reacting agent, the dye and the polyfunctional compound may be applied successively in any sequence but are preferably applied simultaneously. The dyebath or printing paste may further contain dispersing agents, protective colloids and/or printing auxiliaries. The dyeings may be fixed by steaming or dry-heating at 100-130 DEG C. or 140-160 DEG C. respectively and finished off normally. Examples of dyeing and printing cotton, spun rayon and acrylonitrile fabrics are given. |
