Zusammenfassung: | The invention comprises substituted ureas and thioureas of the formula: wherein R1 represents a C1-4 alkyl radical, a phenyl radical, a halogen-substituted phenyl radical or an -NR5R6 radical, in which R5 and R6 independently represent phenyl or benzyl, or together with the nitrogen atom connected to these radicals represent a piperidine, pyrrolidine, piperazine, morpholine or thiomorpholine radical, R2 represents a C1-4 alkyl radical, a phenyl radical, a halogen-substituted phenyl radical, a nitro-substituted phenyl radical, an alkoxy-substituted phenyl radical or an alkylmercapto-substituted phenyl radical, the alkoxy and alkylmercapto radicals containing up to 4 carbon atoms, R3 and R4 independently represent hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl or benzyl, or together with the nitrogen atom connected to these radicals represent a piperidine, pyrrolidine, piperazine, morpholine or thiomorpholine radical, and X represents oxygen or sulphur. The above compounds are prepared by reacting a sulphenamide or diamino-monosulphide of the formula: with an equi-molar amount of an isocyanate or isothiocyanate of the formula R2.NCX.ALSO:A pesticidal composition comprises a substituted urea or thiourea of the formula wherein R1 represents a C1-4 alkyl radical, a phenyl radical, a halogen-substituted phenyl radical or an -NR5R6 radical, in which R5 and R6 independently represent phenyl or benzyl, or together with the nitrogen atom connected to these radicals represent a piperidine, pyrrolidine, piperazine, morpholine, or thiomorpholine radical, R2 represents a C1-4 alkyl radical, a phenyl radical, a halogen-substituted phenyl radical, a nitro-substituted phenyl radical, an alkoxy-substituted phenyl radical or an alkylmercapto-substituted phenyl radical, the alkoxy and alkylmercapto radicals containing up to 4 carbon atoms, R3 and R4 independently represent hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl or benzyl, or together with the nitrogen atom connected to these radicals represent a piperidine, pyrrolidine, piperazine, morpholine or thiomorpholine radical, and X represents oxygen or sulphur, in admixture with a solid or liquid diluent or carrier.
