Zusammenfassung: | 826,119. Suction nozzles. ELECTROLUX CORPORATION. June 19, 1958 [June 28, 1957], No. 19605/58. Class 8(1). In a suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner, air, drawn past the guide vanes 48 and exhausted through the outlet 12, drives a turbine wheel 44 which through the shaft 42 and the gear train 52, 54, 58, 60 and 62 rotates a brush 66. At the same time dirt laden air is drawn through the cleaning nozzle 18 and exhausted through the outlet 12. The forward wall 20. of the nozzle 18, is hinged in a channel formed in the upper part of the body 10 and due to the surface contacting fingers 28 is moved to reduce the size of the inlet 18 during forward motion of the nozzle or moved to increase the size of the inlet 18 during rearward motion of the nozzle thus varying the suction at the nozzle 18 and also the flow of air to the turbine wheel 44. |
