In a dry shaver head having a toothed cutting member 3 rotated in contact with the undersurface 10 of a shear plate 1 having radial apertures 2 so that the cutting edges of the teeth co-operate with the edges 7 of the apertures to cut hair, the plate-contacting surface of the tooth 5 has an aperture 11 in which oil from the skin collects for distribution over the undersurface 10 for lubrication between the undersurface 10 and the cutting edges of the teeth. Alternatively, the surface of the tooth 6 has an open-ended slot 9 so that the cylindrical centring walls of the shear plate are lubricated.
