Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a system (1, 16) for steaming, in a cooking chamber (3) of a domestic cooking device (1), in particular an oven, food to be cooked, the system comprising: a domestic cooking device (1) having a cooking chamber (3), a water tank (10) located outside the cooking chamber (3), and a water supply duct (13, 15) passing through a wall (5) of the cooking chamber, wherein the water tank (10) is connected to the water supply duct via a controllable water dosing unit (12); and a passive water-evaporation container (16) which can be placed on a base (9) of the cooking chamber and which can be filled with water from the water supply duct and has at least one steam outlet opening. The invention also relates to a method for steaming, by means of the system, food to be cooked, which method can include pre-heating (S0-S1) the cooking chamber having the empty water-evaporation container inserted therein, then bringing (S2) food to be cooked into the cooking chamber, and then actuating the water dosing unit such that a specified volume of water is conducted from the water tank into the water tray. In particular, the invention is advantageously applicable to steam-cooking baked goods, in particular bread, in an oven. |
