Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a workpiece support system with a fixed main frame, a driven, circulating traction means (7), which is guided over deflection rollers, and at least one workpiece support (8), which has load rollers (11), which run on a rolling surface of the main frame and via which the weight force of the workpiece support (8) and of a workpiece lying on the workpiece support (8) or suspended from the workpiece support (8) is passed onto the main frame, and which support has a clamping device with clamping elements, between which the traction means (7) is arranged and by means of which the workpiece support (8) can be clamped to the traction means (7), wherein the axial direction of the deflection rollers runs orthogonally to the axial direction of the load rollers (11).
