Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for controlling the moisture of a PEM fuel cell system (100) of a motor vehicle by means of a control device, comprising the following steps: recording a driving cycle of the motor vehicle over a predetermined window of time; determining load points of the motor vehicle over the predetermined window of time, wherein a frequency of the load points is determined; changing to a moisture mode according to a frequency of the load points over the predetermined window of time, wherein the change is specified by the control device. The invention furthermore relates to a PEM fuel cell system and to the use of such a PEM fuel cell system.
