Eine erste Nachricht wird an eine Gruppe von Prozessoren übertragen, wobei die erste Nachricht jeden Prozessor in der Gruppe von Prozessoren veranlasst, in einen Wartezustand einzutreten. Während sich jeder von der Gruppe von Prozessoren in dem Wartezustand befindet, wird ein Abschnitt eines Satzes von Programmanweisungen des Betriebssystems modifiziert.
