Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a braking system (30) comprising a rotating element (5) rotatable about an axis of rotation (D) and a braking device (10) for braking the rotating element (5), wherein the braking device (10) has a first braking element (13) which can be moved between an idle position, in which an annular braking surface (14) of the first braking element (13) is concentric with the axis of rotation (D) of the rotating element (5) and is remote from the rotating element (5), and a brake position, in which the braking surface (14) of the first braking element (13) is in contact with the rotating element (5) or with a second braking element (9) that is non-rotatably connected to the rotating element (5), wherein: the first braking element (13) can be hydraulically moved between the idle position and the brake position; the first braking element (13) is connected to a tubular brake piston (12) which is mounted in a housing (11) having a tubular inner space (11.1) for receiving a hydraulic liquid; and the first braking element (13) is annular and has first interlocking elements (24), in particular multiple teeth or splines, on an inner contour which interact with corresponding second interlocking elements (23) on an outer contour of the housing (11) in such a way that the first braking element (13) is secured against rotation about the axis of rotation (D) and can be moved parallel to the axis of rotation (D). In addition, the invention relates to an axle support unit (4) for a low-floor vehicle, in particular for a skateboard, comprising a braking system (30) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the rotating element (5) of the braking system is a wheel, and relates to a low-floor vehicle (1) having such an axle support unit (4).
