Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a valve unit such as an exhaust-gas flap unit for motor vehicles, consisting of a flap housing and a flap shaft mounted thereon and dipping into same, a valve flap being provided on said shaft and being located in the flap housing. Said flap shaft is operatively connected to a drive such that the valve flap can be pivoted. The flap housing and the drive are interconnected by a bracket when in the assembled state, said bracket being a tubular profiled section that is placed on said flap housing.
