Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for connecting a shaft (2) produced from steel or a nickel-based alloy to a wheel (3) produced from a TiAl alloy. It is essential to the invention that a vanadium-containing layer (8) or a nickel-containing layer (17) is applied to a wheel connection region (6) on a wheel outer contour (7) of the wheel (3) and/or to a shaft connection region (5) on a shaft outer contour (4) of the shaft (2), and the shaft connection region (5) and the wheel connection region (6) are welded together in order to connect the shaft (2) to the wheel (3). The invention also relates to an arrangement (1) of a shaft (2) on a wheel (3), particularly on a turbine wheel (9), according to such a method.
