Zusammenfassung:	Hot fluid is introduced into a cooling bore and/or channel (2) of the mold (1). Should cracks (6) exist in the neighborhood of the bore or channel, fluid leakage from them is detected with a heat-detecting monitoring instrument (5) e.g. an infrared camera. Bei einem Verfahren zur Rissprüfung eines Formwerkzeuges (1) wird in eine Kühlbohrung und/oder Kühlkanal (2) des Formwerkzeuges (1) ein erwärmtes Medium eingebracht. Beim Vorhandensein von Rissen (6) im Bereich der Kühlbohrung und/oder Kühlkanal (2) wird ein Austreten des Mediums aus der Kühlbohrung und/oder Kühlkanal (2) des Formwerkzeuges (1) mit einer wärmedetektierenden Überwachungseinrichtung (5) detektiert.
