The seat (1) has a sitting part (2) and a backrest (3) rotatable about a first axis (10) relative to the sitting part between operating and folded positions. The sitting part has a seat surface movable between sitting and folded positions, whereby the sitting position can be rotated through the order of 180 degrees about a second axis (20) parallel to the plane of the sitting surface between the sitting and folded positions. The second axis is essentially perpendicular to the first axis. An independent claim is also included for a method of folding a seat.
