A gearbox test stand has a spreader plate (2) with index rings (1) using dowels and holes to set the exact position and automatically extracted from an index magazine (3) by a rocking arm (5) with claws (4) fitting holes in the rings and a numerically controlled magazine drive. Es wird ein Prüfstand für Prüflinge, insbesondere für Getriebe, vorgeschlagen, umfassend eine Aufspannplatte (2) zur Aufnahme eines Prüflings und ein Spannsystem zur Befestigung des Prüflings auf der Aufspannplatte, wobei die exakte Positionierung der Prüflinge durch Indexringe (1), umfassend Positionsstifte und/oder Bohrungen, erfolgt, und wobei die Indexringe (1) über ein Spannsystem an der Aufspannplatte (2) befestigbar sind. Die Indexringe (1) sind in einem Indexmagazin (3) anordenbar und mittels eines Indexwechslers in die gewünschte Position bringbar.
