Automobile console unit has electronic module secured in console housing with viewing surface of electronic module aligned with opening in console housing

The console unit has a console housing (10) secured to the automobile and an electronic module (12) attached to the console housing, provided with a circuit board (16) and a front panel (18) with an integrated fixing element (20) for securing the circuit board, provided with a viewing surface positioned in alignment with an opening in the console housing, for viewing by an automobile passenger when the console unit is installed in the passenger compartment. The console housing can be secured to the roof of the automobile passenger compartment.
