Zusammenfassung:	Weather radar data along with precipitation radar data (PRD) is measured in multiple weather radar stations (WRS) (1-4). The PRD measured in the WRS is processed into precipitation data in a radar data summarizing computer (5). A digital value for precipitation intensity is calculated at all points on an x-y coordinate grid for a geographical area covered by the WRS. An independent claim is also included for a system for carrying out the method of the present invention.
