Zusammenfassung:In a papermaking process, a continual feed of wet paper web is pressed and de-watered. In the de-watering press, the water drainage local distribution pattern is monitored, regulated and controlled by an automated system directed at and linked with the nip zone. The automated system monitors and regulates linear forces within the nip zone, vacuum suction devices, drums, traction conditioning with spray tubes, web discharge geometry, press drum conditioning, drum surface condition, dewatering felt condition and similar. The felt condition is monitored using an on-line system. The parameters measured are continually compared with target values and used to trigger corrective action. The process sets maximum values for the ratio of nip dewatering to vacuum suction power.
