Zusammenfassung:	The optical element (220) has an input surface (224a) and an output surface which are each rotationally symmetrical to the optical axis of the optical element and which are curved relative to the latter within an input region (227) and an output region respectively, so that an input light beam (211) with an initial intensity distribution profile is refracted to provide an output light beam (221) having a constant intensity distribution within a target region at a given distance from the optical element.
