Zusammenfassung:Crash sensor for a vehicle seat, especially a motor vehicle seat has a housing (11) with a sensor mass (31) that is mobile within the housing in a longitudinal direction and a Bowden traction unit (21) that acts in an external direction. Bowden traction unit and sensor mass move relative to each other. The invention also relates to a corresponding motor vehicle seat with an active head rest that is activated by an inventive crash sensor in the case of an accident. The crash sensor activates a drive that moves a cushion element in the headrest rapidly forwards.
