Zusammenfassung:	Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Detektion des Benetzungsgrades der Oberfläche eines in Längsrichtung bewegten Bandes, eine entsprechende Vorrichtung und deren Verwendung. The invention relates to a method for detecting the wetting degree of the surface of a strip (5) moved in the longitudinal direction (1) and to a corresponding device. The surface of the strip (5) is irradiated by a UV light source (2), over the entire width of the strip, and the light emitted by or reflected on the surface is measured by means of at least one sensor (3) over the entire width. The method and the device are used to determine a wetting degree of steel strips by oil.
