Zusammenfassung:	A dampening device of the present invention is configured to attenuate acoustic energy produced by a fluid circulating through a fluid system. The dampening device includes a hollow tubular body having a first end, a second end, and a collar interposed between the first end and the second end. The tubular body is disposed within at least one conduit of the fluid system, forming a space between an inner surface of the conduit and the first end of the tubular body and another space between the inner surface of the conduit and the second end of the tubular body.
