The transformer (100) comprises a first winding (110) having two winding portions (111,112), and a second winding (120) having several winding portions (121-124), in which two neighboring winding portions of the second winding is separated by an appropriate winding portion of the first winding, and an intended core material (130) with a rod core region (133) comprised as a non-closed magnetic circuit. The second winding comprises 50 or more turns. The length of the rod core area is less than or equal to 20 mm. The magnetic circuit is further comprised of end plates (131,132).
