Method for automatically assembling housing i.e. plug housing, with electric cable, involves manufacturing electric cable in contact machine, and inserting contact machine into housing in predetermined position

The method involves manufacturing an electric cable (8) in a contact machine (2). A first contact element (6) is fixed to a second contact element i.e. crimping plier (4) at ends of the electric cable. A plug housing (16) is equipped with the electric cable. The contact machine is inserted into the housing in a predetermined position. The second contact device is crimped with the first contact element at a stripped end of the electric cable. The first contact element is mechanically maintained with a gripping element during assembly. Housing portions are firmly bonded with one another. Um ein automatisiertes Bestücken eines Steckergehäuses (16) zu ermöglichen, wird in einem ersten Schritt zur Konfektionierung eines elektrischen Kabels (8) in einer insbesondere als Crimpmaschine (2) ausgebildeten Kontaktierungsmaschine ein Kontaktelement (6) am Kabel (8) endseitig mit Hilfe einer als Crimpzange (4) ausgebildeten Kontaktierungseinrichtung befestigt. In einem zweiten Schritt wird anschließend das Steckergehäuse (16) mit dem konfektionierten Kabel (8) bestückt, während dieses noch in der Crimpmaschine (2) angeordnet ist. Hierdurch ist ein zusätzliches mechanisches Greifen für die Bestückung nicht erforderlich.
