Zusammenfassung:	The cable length transmitter (10) has a rotatable cable drum (14) for winding a cable (23). A magnet (16) is attached to the cable drum, and a detection device (19) is attached to the magnet. The detection device is provided with an electromagnetic revolution sensor for detecting the number of revolutions of the magnet. An independent claim is included for working cylinder. Es wird ein Seilzuglängengeber (10) beschrieben, der mit einer um eine Achse (A) drehbaren Seiltrommel (14), mit einem auf die Seiltrommel (14) auf- und abwickelbaren Seil (23), mit einem mit der Drehbewegung der Seiltrommel (14) gekoppelten Magneten (16), sowie mit einer dem Magneten (16) zugeordneten Detektionseinrichtung (19) versehen ist. Der Seilzuglängengeber (10) weist kein Getriebe auf. Die Detektionseinrichtung (19) weist einen elektromagnetischen Umdrehungssensor auf, der zur Erfassung einer Anzahl von Umdrehungen des Magneten (16) vorgesehen ist.
