Iron-based alloy useful for manufacturing component, preferably e.g. linear component, planar component, electrically switchable injection valve for non-corrosive fuel, pole tube, and magnetic gear, comprises carbon, manganese and copper

Iron-based alloy comprises 0.4-0.7 wt.% carbon, 10-18 wt.% manganese and 2-5 wt.% copper. An independent claim is also included for manufacturing a component which comprises at least three regions, of which respectively two adjacent regions exhibit different magnetic properties, comprising (a1) prov...

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Iron-based alloy comprises 0.4-0.7 wt.% carbon, 10-18 wt.% manganese and 2-5 wt.% copper. An independent claim is also included for manufacturing a component which comprises at least three regions, of which respectively two adjacent regions exhibit different magnetic properties, comprising (a1) providing the above iron-based alloy as an austenitic starting material, (b1) recasting the starting material to a predetermined shape of the component, (c1) carrying out single- or multiple annealing of the component at 350-550[deg] C for forming a ferromagnetic structure in the component, and (d1) annealing a partial region (10) of the component annealed in the step (c1) at 1000-1200[deg] C for forming a paramagnetic structure in the partial region, or step (a1), (b2) recasting the starting material into a semifinished product (2, 4), (c2) carrying out single- or multiple annealing of the semifinished product at 350-550[deg] C for forming a ferromagnetic structure in the semifinished product, (d2) preparing the component by molding the semifinished product, and (e2) annealing a partial region of the component produced in the step (d2) at 1000-1200[deg] C for forming a paramagnetic structure in the partial region.
