Zusammenfassung:	The internal combustion engine (10) has a fuel system (12) that is provided to supply the gaseous fuel for operating the internal combustion engine. The fuel system is provided with a high-pressure pump (34) for partially evacuating the fuel system. The fuel system is provided with a tank (18) for storing the fuel in the liquid state. A specific area between an evaporator (22) and a combustion chamber (14) is evacuated by the high-pressure pump. An independent claim is included for a method for operating internal combustion engine of motor vehicle. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verbrennungskraftmaschine (10) für einen Kraftwagen, mit einer Kraftstoffanlage (12), mittels welcher die Verbrennungskraftmaschine (10) mit einem gasförmigen Kraftstoff zum Betreiben der Verbrennungskraftmaschine versorgbar ist, wobei die Kraftstoffanlage (12) Mittel (34) zum zumindest teilweisen Evakuieren der Kraftstoffanlage (12) umfasst, sowie ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine (10).
