The assembly has a housing (2) for surrounding an air conveying pump (1) and comprising a housing wall surrounding the pump. Wall thickness of the housing wall is formed in a rotation direction vertically to a pumping longitudinal axis (X). The housing wall comprises outer and inner sides (A, I) with outer and inner circumferential lines or peripheral surfaces (2a, 2b) surrounding the pump, respectively, where the wall thickness is defined between the circumferential lines or peripheral surfaces. Bearing- or damping rings i.e. bearing- or damping elements (3, 4), are made of a foam material.
